As previously mentioned, Wednesday May 27th will be Yoskay Yamamoto’s Koibito Release Party at the gallery. Lots of goodies from a new print, to signed exhibition catalogs and some other surprises.

Yoskay wil be in house signing and drawing away for those patient enough to wait in line. See you all here.

So its official, LeBasse Projects will be releasing an edition of 50, “Do You Mind If I Stay for a Bit” prints for the opening of Yoskay’s show this weekend. We are going to save a few for online sales via Paper Tiger to release next Tuesday at 11am PST, but the rest will sell at the gallery Saturday night at the opening of “Hello and Goodbye.”

The prints will retail for a recession special $65, but expect a larger more exclusive print to release later in the month when we release the white/chrome Koibito at the gallery as well. Plan on saving the date…Wednesday May 27th…and lining up. The Koibito, an edition of 150, will be hand numbered and signed by Yoskay, but not all will be available, as we are saving some for a special event we are planning for in NY this Fall.

We should have a few Red/White Koibito’s at opening night though in case anyone wants to get an autograph from Mr. Yamamoto.

Ok, excuse the horrible photo’s but we are excited that we have the first White/Chrome koibito sample in hand. When we get all 150 in from the factory poor Yoskay is going to actually be signing and numbering all of them. Thats right, gallery edition comes signed and numbered.

Don’t email me about #1, thats staying at home with the gallery…

Yoskay’s next solo is also officially on the books May 9th. Put it on your calendar and book a flight, because you can also expect some killer giveaways at the reception.

While not the anticipated super limited gallery white/chrome colorway, the production line of Yoskay Yamamoto’s Koibito’s are pre-ordering now. Go get one here before they sell out like the other versions have.

Platinum Plus aka Yoskay Yamamoto released his Koibito at Munky King last night. Even in a down economy, the fans lined up around the corner to pick up the two colorways that just came out. The “smoke” black was awesome – and if you were lucky enough to grab one of the customs it came with a hand screened bandana and a small gocco print.

The limited “smoke” and the prints all sold out quickly, but I think there might be a few of the general release koibito at Munky King – or you can start lining up now for February’s White and Silver release being run through the gallery and Paper Tiger.
