Paper Tiger just released two new prints from artists Eric Fortune and Joao Ruas. Both original paintings are from the recent LeBasse Projects show in NY which DD covered here. Each of the prints are on Sommerset archival paper, signed and numbered, and limited to editions of only 25.

With both of the artists growing in popularity quickly its a good time to get their work as their original paintings continue to climb in price. The prints are only $100 and can be ordered here.

Seen: João Ruas – Inner Myth Part 1

Brazilian artist João Ruas opened his Inner Myth Part 1 solo on the Fresh Faces wall at Thinkspace this past Friday (5.8).  Recently chosen as the successor to James Jean as the Fables cover artist, Ruas’s work is marked by a focus on the fantastic interspersed with the apparently mundane – all  rendered with beauty and grace. Even in the small number of exhibited pieces, there’s tremendous variety to his fine art ranging from mythic beasts to curious children playing around a skull.  Given his excellent pieces, it’s perhaps not surprising that all but one piece sold before the evening’s end. See the official show page for a look at all of Ruas’s pieces.  We’re looking forward to seeing more from João Ruas.
