Ernesto Yerena is about to release Fidel, the latest screenprint from his Hecho Con Ganas project. Available in two editions, each 3-color print (22″x31″) is limited to 50 pieces and will be available for $100. El Che. Ernesto Yerena Montejano. 22" x 31" Screenprint.
Ernesto Yerena Montejano will release a 2-color screenprint of his ‘El Che’ image in two colorways (red/green) this Wednesday, August 26th 2009 at an unspecified time from HechoConGanas.com. The prints are based on his hand-stenciled edition of six of the same name done for White Walls gallery in SF. Measuring 22×31” on coventry rag paper w/hand torn edge, each silkscreen print colorway is limited to 100 signed and numbered pieces. Hand-pulled by Modern Multiples, the prints will retail for a $100 each.
This work is part of Ernesto’s Hecho Con Ganas project (Made with Desire) which is fueled by a his respect for South American revolutionary leaders such as Che Guevara, and their message of putting power back into the hands of people. On a more general level, the project is about encouraging people to succeed despite formidable obstacles and challenges.
