“The Road to Shermer: A Tribute to John Hughes” opens tonight (Feb. 11) at Gallery1988:Venice. Fifty artists pay tribute to the late 1980s writer/director and his legacy. Speaking as someone who was a teenager in that decade, I’d say this tribute is long overdue!
The reception is Friday, Feb. 11 from 7-10 pm at 214 Pier Avenue , Santa Monica, CA. 90405. Many of the participating artists will be in attendance.
