Prints of Chloe Early’s  “Airborne” originally shown in April in Los Angeles as well as Connor Harrington’s “Trapped by Language” are now available through BLK/MRKT editions.

The two artists put on a great show at Kinsey/DesForges earlier this year (covered here) and the prints look like great representations of the originals.

Sylvia Ji will be one of the many artist that will be showcasing her work at Joshua Liner Gallery for their group exhibition from August 15 to September 5, 2009. Artists featured will include the following: Candice Tripp, Chloe Early, Cleon Peterson, Damon Soule, Dave Kinsey, Evan Hecox, Greg Simkins, James Roper, Joe Sorren, Jud Bergeron, Kenji Hirata, Pat Rocha, Robert Hardgrave, Ryan McLennan, Shawn Barber, Stanley Donwood, Stella Im Hultberg, SUB (Tony Curanaj), Sylvia Ji, Tat Ito, Tiffany Bozic, Travis Louie, Tristram Lansdowne, and ZAnPon. Chloe Early

StolenSpace Gallery’s summer show opens July 3rd from 6-9 pm and this year is literally filled to the brim with new works from over twenty artists, plus a few new faces as a small taster of exhibitions to come for the rest of this year and next. This show features all new works on canvas, wood & paper as well as 3D work and exclusive new screen print releases from artists such as Chloe Early, Kai and Sunny and Word to Mother. These artists will also have limited edition screen prints will be available to purchase online here, Friday July 3rd.

A bit late, but I finally had time to upload my pictures from this weekends show at KDF. Conor Harrington and Chloe Early had an excellent show in LA, well worth seeng if you are in town.

Each artist had 5 large canvases and a pair of charcoal drawings that need to be seen in person to really appreciate. There is tremendous depth and texture to both artists work and you can see the influence they have had on each other. Normally this might not be a good thing, but the strong masculine and feminine qualities of the two artists paintings buffer any concerns about their close relationship influencing the work.

Conor also found the time to paint a mural on the side of the KDF building…take a look up high…

Two of our favorite artists show up in LA this weekend at Kinsey/DesForges in Culver City. Conor Harrington and partner Chloe Early have a two person exhibit that opens Saturday.

The London based pair make their first trip to the West Coast for an exhibit of new work on canvas. Check back shortly and we should have some preview pics!
