WTF NYC report

New York was loads of fun. left for NYC totally stressed out still packing my suitcase during the Warmholes show at grass Hut. This was a major bummer as some of the artists drove down from seattle and the place was hoppin and I couldn’t play. But… got to the airport in time friday night. My friend Jimbo met me in town and helped me all day at the MoCCA arts fest. It was at teh Armory, beautiful, old, humid place. Lotso f great artcomics, smelly nerds, and a chance to be recruited into the military. Joy. Had lots of fun signing books, selling art and toys, and the biggest joy. John kerschbaum’s table was right next to mine. His comics rule the earth. Sunday at KR was good too. the pencil Fighting was awesome, cept there was a 10 minute plus match where the fighters couldn’t even snap their own pencil’s just to end it. Where did i get these pencil’s. Maybe the steel shank factory. Jimbo remained champion. Beyond al lthat goodness, ate lots of good food. Ate rice pudding, flan, korean jelly tea, and good BBQ and risoto.

WTF Steven is coming

maybe maybe not for New York so I might need to do some star wars earlybird print or coupon or something. But a brand new steven the bat sculpt is coming for the WTF tour. He’s a little mini produced by Super 7 and sculpted by gargamel. here’s the wax sculpt of his fat little feet.

In other magic of all magics the first books have arrived at Top Shelf in georgia where the company is based. This is super flippin’ dooper as we were a little uncertain whether er not they would arrive in time for MoCCA and Kid Robot this weekend. I can’t wait to see my new baby book.

testing 1,2,3. Is this WTF on?

Hi. Let me introduce myself. My name is Bwana. I am a man, not a girl for those of you that haven’t met me. Jack let me come play here for the summer to tell you about my travels and the WTF summer tour. It’s a brokeback bucked up into a few dif segments. First I go to New york for the mocca artsfest june 6th, and then the next day. that’s a sunday a party at Kid Robot. they call that place KRNY as well. Then late June i go to Concrete Hermit in London, and Artoyz in paris, then when iget back the west coast leg of the tour is on. Starts in seattle at Schmancy, Grass Hut in portland (my homebase), Super 7 in San Francisco, GR2, also known as Giant Robot in Los Angeles, and San Diego Comic Con, then I take a well needed break for a month and in september finish it all off in Tokyo at my favorite place- Thrash Out.

Errr, anyway. What is the WTF Summer Tour about. Well i have this book coming out. it’s my first artbook titled- Welcome To Forest Island. It’s a nice little full color hardback swab of lovelyness. Forward by mr Tim Biskup, and some kind words on the back by mr. J. Otto. So that’s the bit that starts the engine. But in case you never went to a book signing. they are f’ing boooo-ring. Wow, can i stand in line for an hour in this quiet room and have this dingdong sign my book. So that’s why I’m bringing it. New killer, og art and customs, a brand new Steven the bat sculpt (thanks Super 7), some rootbeer, and depending on where party is- 4 square or pencil fighting championships. So- hoping
