“Spread the Word” at Mark Moore Gallery unfolded Saturday night with an enthusiastic crowd eager to spend money for a great cause. This auction included pieces from more than 70 artists, who were each given a vintage pulp paperback to use to turn into art. Proceeds from auction sales and ticket prices went to 826LA, a pioneering non-profit organization focused on youth literacy and writing. I was proud to contribute my own (Rocky III-themed) piece to the mix.

i hope the auction was a big success! it is such an important cause – and both Mark Moore gallery and LA826 are doing wonderful things for art and education.
