Seen: Alex Pardee and Skinner — ‘The Butcher Kings’.

From the twisted and brilliant minds of Alex Pardee and Skinner comes ‘The Butcher Kings’ which opened on Thursday at Gallery 1988 Melrose. Aptly named, the duo lay waste to pop culture with a heady mix of irreverence and their own peculiar brand of homage. Its sometimes crude, often funny, badass and consistently rendered cleanly with crisp lines and plenty of graphic detail, elevating parody and pop culture sendups.

Fantastic work obviously. This is what art should be masterfully executed hilarity and positive negativity.
