From their first instant camera, Polaroid has been an integral part of countless artists’ creative practice. The ‘Made in Polaroid Art Exhibit’ celebrates this proud history through the lens of new tools for a new generation. The exhibit features 60 plus works of art created by a talented and varied roster of artists, celebrities, photographers, and designer using Polaroid’s new Polaroid GL10 Instant Mobile Printer. Slated to run for one week (9/17 – 9/13) @ the Phillips de Pury Gallery, the exhibit will feature collages, single pieces, and perhaps even sculptural work created with the new printer from Dave Kinsey, Dabs Myla, Risk, Hush, Joshua Petker, Gary Baseman, James Franco, photographer Chase Jarvis, and many more. In addition to showcasing extraordinary creative talent and vision, the exhibit is also a way of encouraging a new generation to embrace art. The show pieces will be auctioned to benefit Free Arts NYC.
