For Pretty Ugly opening at Opera New York, NYC artist Logan Hicks will present a new series of stencil pieces chronicling the seeming isolation of urban life.  Individuals find themselves mostly alone in cold, hard man-made settings. By reducing many of the background environments to outlines,  Hicks draws the viewer’s gaze  to the often solitary individuals and perhaps reminds us of urban decay.
