Aiko – Lady Butterfly Sculpture

Aiko has collaborated with Japan’s Tomenosuke on a limited-edition sculpture of her signature, Lady Butterfly character.  Created in Hida-Takayma, Japan, renown for its  arts and crafts tradition,   the limited-edition resin pieces feature an intricate sculpt  (as seen above, unpainted).  In particular, the dual sets of  butterfly wings serve as the visual focal point of the new sculptures.  Lady Butterfly will apparently be released in five editions including all-black and all-silver.  Look for the first release on Valentine’s Day (2.14).
