It’s hard to believe, but it’s been two full decades, since viewers were first mesmerized by David Lynch’s Twin Peaks television series.   To celebrate the milestone in artful fashion, Good Apple and CBS Consumer Products have put together the ‘In the Trees: Twin Peaks 20th Anniversary Art Exhibition’ featuring art by Glenn Barr, Tim Biskup, Scott Campbell, Amy Casey, Paul Chatem, Ryan Heshka Stella Im Hultberg, Jessica Joslin, Alice Lodge, Chris Mars, Elizabeth McGrath, Margaret Meyer, Brooke Weston, Eric White and Ashley Wood.  Since the opening is a few weeks away still,   we’re bringing you this preview featuring two previously unseen pieces — Ryan Heshka’s ‘Wow Bob Wow / Coffee Coffee” (above, piece hangs in two different directions) and Chris Mars’ “The New Girl at One-Eyed Jack’s”, as well as works from Tim Biskup, Jessica Joslin and Paul Chathem.

The two night show will open on Saturday, February 12th (8 – 11 PM) in perhaps the perfect venue, Clifton’s Brookdale in downtown Los Angeles.  The one-of-a-kind interior of the lone remaining Clifton’s Cafeteria evokes the feel of Twin Peaks in an effortless manner.    The opening will feature a special 20th Anniversary print of a Twin Peaks map created by David Lynch and will also serve as the first release of a new official Twin Peaks merchandise line including a hotel stationary set from the Great Northern, shirts from Big Ed’s Gas Farm and coffee cups from the Double R. Diner.  [Event Details via DUGPA]
