Dalek Painting Unveil @ Hurley’s 225 Forest

Dalek, James Marshall, was on-hand at Hurley’s captivating 225 Forest concept store in Laguna Beach for the unveiling of his 2nd site specific painting.  Painted last week at Hurley on several panels, the large towering work (10′ x 22′) was installed in the center of the 2-story space – an impressive focal point.  In addition to the Dalek unveiling, 225 Forest hosted a product launch for Kidrobot’s Munny World DIY Vinyl Art Toys complete with hands-on customization stations featuring the expected – markers, paint and the unexpected – metal studs, nails, huge thumbtacks, power drills and more.

One of the highlights of 255 Forest is Hurley’s Workshop featuring on-the-spot custom tees, board shorts, and Converse Chucks (yep) through two sublimation processes. Very cool – choose the graphics,placement, sizing, colors.  Apparel and Art your way.

Tonight’s event is part of Hurley’s efforts to support and promote the arts through exciting products and initiatives. Dalek’s got a busy month ahead of him  – he opens a new solo @ Jonathan Levine in NYC next Saturday (12.12). .
