Mikal Hameed and Damon Minaey (Ronin Gallery Owner)

NYC artist Mikal Hameed (M11X) offered a variety of found object sound sculptures for Friday’s opening of his Urban Audio Manifesto @ Ronin Gallery in Echo Park.  By combining found objects  with disposed sound systems, Mikal creates unique sculptures for the eyes and the ears.  In addition to stylish turntable-equipped chairs, he also creates sound paintings – flat art work housing functioning speakers and lights.  Design, sound, and art – a pleasing hybrid.
