Seen: Toofly — Brave Souls Illuminate

Longtime NYC writer Maria “Toofly” Castillo opened her new Brave Souls Illuminate on Wednesday evening (11.11) at Fifty24LA downtown on Sixth St.  The show featured her progression of portraying strong females with original paintings, drawings, sketches and prints.  The work covers both her older trademark style and her newer approach with softer lines and curves.   Brave Souls Illuminates runs through January 4th, 2010 spanning two downtown LA artwalks including the one on the 12th of this month.
