Know Hope — the times won’t save you (this rain smells of memory), 6.4

Israeli artist Know Hope will present art to walk through with an extremely ambitious site-specific installation for the time’s won’t save you (this rain smells of memory) opening on Friday, June 4th 2009 @ Carmichael Gallery. For his debut LA solo, the accomplished street artist will weave a powerful installation from a dizzying number of elements – 30,000 paper raindrops, 40,000 feet of fishing twine, 2500 fishing weights, hundreds of miniature works on cardboard and a crowd of life-size cutouts.  Definitely something you’ll want to experience in person, mark your calendar.

“This exhibition holds nothing but a reflection of where we are now, and
offers us nothing but the suggestion of adaptation and (re)adjustment to the
current tides.  This is a binding burden, and we’re all in this together.”
