Sylvia Ji unleashed an impressive new collection of work for Haute Epoch which opened tonight (4.11)@ Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City. Slyvia’s work blends an eye for fashion with striking portraiture made possible in part by strong technique. Blending glamour with pervasive references to latin american symbolism, the show drew a large and diverse crowd – with a lineup prior to the opening.
Adding to the experience, Corey Helford was screening a cool video montage of Slyvia’s creation process for the show – artfully shot and edited at a frenetic pace. Definitely a must see show.

The show, as expected from someone as awesome as Slvia Ji, was AMAZING!
I can’t believe how many people were there! It was absolutely packed! Yet somehow me and my friends were able to find a somewhat inebriated Sylvia Ji who was kind enough to draw in my sketchbook!
