Two Fantastic Art Openings Tonight in Chelsea!

Mixed Greens and Kathryn Markel Fine Arts both have openings tonight that’ll start your weekend off right!

Over on 27th, Mixed Greens hosts Alessandra Exposito in her solo exhibition, My First Love. The exhibition marks a new direction for the artist of Cuban and Italian heritage, featuring a collection of sculptures made of horse skulls and a life-size painted horse skeleton (originally shipped from China) painted white and adorned with nature-inspired sculptural elements using epoxy-resin and painted clay, suspended from the gallery ceiling for viewers to gaze upon.

In conjunction with her show, Mixed Greens will unveil a light installation in the Glow Room Project Space, Diaphany by artist Carol Salmanson, marking the first installation visible from the street level on 26th since the gallery’s move to Chelsea in 2003.

Seven blocks down at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, Lisa Breslow showcases her her ninth solo show, NYC Landscapes. In this striking collection, Breslow turns her attention to the man made geometry of the cityscape without loosing sight of the raw energy and natural elements that are intricately woven throughout the streets.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
