Futura’s Strategic Synchronicity

NYC graff legend Futura opened his first LA solo, Strategic Synchronicity, this past thursday night at a VIP event attended by collectors and several notable celebs and artists including – Ashlee Simpson, Joe Hahn, Estevan Oriol, Slick, Mark Dean Vecca and more.  Presented by Krunk the show marks Futura’s return to the fine art scene in grand style – from the huge canvases to the large space which combines some elegant touches with an unfinished urban space feel.

In the past Futura has combined his more abstract elements with the more figurative ones such as his iconic Pointman.  This is no longer the case.  As he moves farther away from figurative elements, the two styles are now segregated.  In fact this show apparently marks the end of Pointman’s run (at least for the forseeable future).

The show ends this weekend, but is a must see if you’re in LA.
